Taiwan singer Pan Anbang died of cancer on February 3 in Chang Gung Hospital in Linkou. He was 52.
Peng was born in Penghu Bay and began performing in 1979. He was invited to sing at the CCTV gala in 1989 and he sang three songs including "Grandma's Penghu Bay," which gained him fame on the Chinese mainland.
His other hits included "Sunshine and Little Rain" and "Country Road." He later retired from show business and went to the US where he was in the adult clothing trading business.
