Backstreet Boys were awarded with their own star, the 2,485th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, their 20th anniversary.

The band, an American vocal harmony group, consists of Brian Littrell, A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson.

They became famous for their debut album, namely Backstreet Boys, in 1996.

Having the star made the band’s members very emotional. They thanked families, fans and the band's producer Max Martin for supporting them in the past years.

"I never ever imagined in a million years that we would be a part of this." Brian told the crowd.

"I worked my entire life to never be walked on, but I'm OK with this one," said Nick.Howie said: "I will one day be able to bring my family here. My kids will be able to bring their kids here and still be able to see the legacy that the Backstreet Boys have carried on for many years."

Kevin concluded, "What a beautiful day. What another beautiful way to celebrate 20 years together." Backstreet Boys regrouped with all members in April 2012, and an album will be released this summer. Backstreet Boys have so far sold over 130 million records, which enables them to become the best-selling boy band.
