Chinese composer Ye Xiaogang to hold US concert

Ye Xiaogang, a leading Chinese composer on the international scene, will hold a concert with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York on Sept. 22, 2013.

Ye will surely perform his signature compositions, including "Twilight of the Himalayas," "The Last Paradise" and "Songs of the Earth," during the concert entitled "Stories of China."

The concert marks the 64th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which falls on Oct. 1.

World famous conductor Yongyan Hu, violinist Cho-Liang Lin, soprano Measha Brueggergosman, tenor Shi Yijie and baritone Yuan Chenye will also take to the stage.
