The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is planning to feature Chinese bands again in 2015.
Chinese military bands first participated in the festival in 2004.
And in 2009, a troupe from Shaanxi Province brought Shehuo, a typical northwest folk art, to the Tattoo.
Chief Executive and Producer of this year's program, Brigadier David Allfrey, says, "it is our plan that a great military band and a cultural act should come to the show in 2015 from China."
The Tattoo proved to be a big hit when it went down under to Australia three years ago.
Allfrey says he's considering taking the show abroad again, perhaps to China.
"We talked to the Tattoo in Nanchang, and we're also talking to people in Shanghai and in Beijing as well. So I hope the future has some interesting thoughts."
This year's Tattoo is attracting an audience of 220,000.
The program incorporates bands from South Korea, Mexico, New Zealand and Mongolia, who are bringing their traditional dances featuring the four seasons.
First staged in 1950, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo has been sold-out-in-advance for the last decade.
