Walt Disney's daughter dies at 79

The eldest daughter of Walt Disney has died at 79 in Napa, California, agencies reported.

Diane Disney Miller died of injuries sustained in a fall and nothing was said about what day she died. A funeral services will be held in private.

"(Diane) holds a special place in the history of The Walt Disney Company and in the hearts of fans everywhere. She will be remembered for her grace and generosity and tireless work to preserve her father's legacy, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her," said current Disney CEO Robert Iger.

Diane Disney Miller was one of the co-founders of the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. She was also the president of the board of directors of the Walt Disney Family Foundation.
