Revelations by Jackie Chan's son may involve more showbiz big names in drug cases, Taiwan media outlets said.
According to the China Times, Jaycee Chan confessed to Beijing police that the marijuana he used came from a Taiwanese singer, whose surname's has the initial "F". The report said Beijing is asking Taiwan police to help and is sharing files and evidence.
The report said the singer "F" is still in Taiwan, has invested in two nightclubs in Taipei and has a predominant family background. There is not currently an investigation against him and the report has not been verified by third parties or authorities.
Jaycee Chan, 31, was detained last Thursday along with Taiwan movie star Kai Ko, becoming the latest high-profile celebrities to be detained in one of China's biggest anti-drug crackdowns in two decades.
It is reported that Jaycee Chan confessed he has been using drugs for 8 years while Ko has been doing so for two years. The reports also said in order to reduce his punishment, Chan has turned over several friends to the police, including two showbiz stars with the initial "C" and one movie star with the initial "H."
These revelations have attracted major interest on the Internet where the guessing game has begun and several stars, such as Chen Bo-Lin, Eason Chan and Stanley Huang, have been thrown into doubt.
There is even a report saying China's police have a list of 120 artists who are suspected of using drugs. A Taiwan district attorney has also started to re-investigate 32 showbiz stars who used drugs before, Hong Kong's Next Magazine said.
