Armenia holds Silk Road music festival

A music festival was held Wednesday in the Armenian capital of Yerevan, presenting the rich cultural heritage of countries along the ancient Silk Road.
Renowned ensembles and solo performers from Armenia, China, India, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Spain and Ukraine took part in the festival -- "Musical Dialogue on Great Silk Road."
The festival aims to help Armenians and foreigners learn more about each others' cultural heritage and promote mutual understanding, organizers said.
During the one-day event, the participants showed to the audience their traditional ethnic costumes and performed folk songs and dances.
Senior Armenian officials and representatives of the embassies of China and Kazakhstan attended the music festival.
