UK soul singer Sam Smith's new album, "In the Lonely Hour" has retained the top spot in the UK album charts for an eighth non-consecutive week, leaving Madonna's Rebel Heart to debut at number two.
Smith's debut album was streamed more than 36-hundred times this week, finishing over 12-thousand chart sales ahead of midweek leader Madonna.
The new stint at number one makes Smith the first male solo artist to hit number 1 in the UK on 6 separate occasions with the same album.
Ed Sheeran's "X" stays at number three.
"Chasing Yesterday" from Noel Gallagher's new band, "High Flying Birds" sits at number four.
