'Lost in Hong Kong' rules China's box office

"Lost in Hong Kong," a domestic comedy, ruled China's box office in the week ending Sept. 27, pulling in 685 million yuan (107.8 million U.S. dollars).
The film, which was released on Sept. 25, is the sequel to "Lost in Thailand," which was released in 2012.
"Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation," the fifth installment of the action franchise, was second, with 73.4 million yuan, China Film News reported Thursday.
The film, which stars Tom Cruise, has grossed about 839.4 million yuan in total ticket sales after opening on Sept. 8.
"Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation," was closely followed by "Minions," which earned 57.6 million yuan in the week.It has made 377.6 million yuan at the box office since it was released on Sept. 13.
At fourth was domestic romance "The Third Way of Love," which reaped 48 million yuan after opening on Sept. 25.
Rounding out the top five was action-fantasy "Pixels", which raked in 20.4 million yuan in the week. Its total box office reached 98.3 million yuan on Sept. 27 after opening on Sept. 15.
