In addition to her old works that audiences are quite familiar with, the singer says there might be some pleasant surprises.
"At the concert, I'll sing some songs that other people and even I used to think impossible for me to sing. I will attempt to have a try at those songs which I was afraid to do before because they are a big challenge for my voice."
In 2014, when she held a concert in Nanjing, the crowd went wild when Mao Amin covered Jay Chou's song Chrysanthemums Terrace, or Ju Hua Tai in Chinese.
Being asked whether she'll once again cover songs by other acts at the upcoming concert, Mao A'min said her appetite for music is extensive.
"I am not intentionally willing to cover other singer's songs. There's a rich variety of songs that I want to have a listen, ranging from Chinese musical dramas, such as Kunqu and Cantonese operas to those catchy pop songs. I have an interest to know as much as possible in field of music."
Mao is one of the most well-known singers in China. Her first single was released in 1986 and her hits include "Ke Wang" in 1990 and "Nuo Yan" for the TV series "Wo Ai Wo Jia" which was shown from 1993 to 1994.
She then became even more famous after singing in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala.
The veteran singer plans to perform approximately 40 songs at her upcoming December 31st concert.
