American singer Ariana Grande is "in hysterics" and inconsolable after learning at least 19 people were killed and 50 injured at her concert on Monday night in Manchester.

According to celebrity tabloid website TMZ, Ariana is "devastated" that young people who came for a good time are now lying dead and injured.

Reports have since confirmed that Grande was not injured. When the bomb exploded, she had just left the stage. One of her representatives has given a brief statement to People: "Ariana is OK. We are further investigating what happened."

Universal Music Group, parent company for Grande's record label, Republic Records, posted a statement on Facebook, "We are deeply saddened to learn of tonight's devastating event in Manchester. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragedy."

A number of celebrities, including Grande's friends, Demi Lovato, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Lorde, Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift, and Nicki Minaj all expressed their prayers and concerns regarding the heartbroken incident, which is now being treated as a terrorist attack by British police.

"My heart hurts for my sister, Ariana & every family affected by this tragic event in the U.K.," Nicki Minaj wrote on her twitter account, "Innocent lives lost. I'm so sorry to hear this."

Bruno Mars said no words can describe how he felt about what had happened in Manchester, "I don't wanna believe that the world we live in could be so cruel."

"My thoughts, prayers and tears for all those affected by the Manchester tragedy tonight. I'm sending all my love," Taylor Swift wrote.

"Every musician feels sick & responsible tonight - shows should be safe for you," Lorde added, "Truly a worst nightmare. Sending love to Manchester & Ari."

The 23-year-old Ariana Grande was in grateful and happy mood three days before this terror concert, "I'm having the time of my life touring this album and singing it for you every night!!!" She wrote on her instagram account, "Music is truly everything to me... so thank you for listening and growing with me... I can't wait to take you where we're going next..."

Ariana Grande's next concert is on Thursday in London at the O2 Arena but it is now up in the air since it could also constitute a safety threat while the singer may probably in no condition to perform.

The Manchester show was part of a tour that began Feb. 3 in Phoenix. The European leg kicked off on May 8 in Stockholm, and the tour was scheduled to end Sept. 21 in Hong Kong. She would also perform a concert in Beijing on Aug. 26, which was just announced to Chinese fans yesterday. It is not known if these subsequent concerts would be affected due to the Manchester tragedy.
