Chen Ruolin, male, born in 1926, retired from China's Ministry of Public Security. The 87-year-old CPC member is not rich. He leads a frugal life with his family, in an old and worn-down apartment in Beijing, but he is by no means stingy toward others. In 2008, Chen spent all of his house relocation compensation, a total of 280,000 yuan, on children's books for the primary schools in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, after the area was hit by a devastating earthquake.
