At least six people were confirmed dead and 25 others injured after a van carrying passengers overturned Sunday in southwest China's Yunnan Province.

A Baoshan city spokesperson said the road accident occurred at 8:30 a.m. near a bridge at the end of a mountain tunnel in Wayao Township.

Two of the injured are currently in critical condition, the spokesperson said, adding that the cause of the accident is under investigation.
