The discipline watchdog of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has urged members to self-police and help improve the Party's anti-corruption efforts.
The remarks came in a circular issued by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) on Thursday. It stressed that officials with the Party's discipline organs at all levels should keep their hands clean.
Discipline organs at all levels should enhance supervision among their internal management and improve official's political loyalty, the circular said.
Discipline officials should also be strict with party members' relatives to prevent them being corrupted, it said.
He Guoqiang, head of the CCDI, said on Wednesday that discipline regulatory agencies across the country should step up their efforts against corruption and improve supervision.
A total of 4,843 Chinese officials above county head level were punished for discipline violations in 2011, 777 of them handed over to authorities for prosecution.
