A fatal collision involving a police vehicle at Changhong Bridge on Beijing’s East Third Ring Road occurred this afternoon at 1:43 p.m., according to the official Beijing Fire Bureau weibo account.

One uniformed police officer is confirmed dead, and a passenger on a coach involved in the collision is reportedly suffering head trauma.

The Fire Directing Center dispatched four teams of firemen and 12 fire engines after the accident was reported.
