In a fairy tale, Cinderella got married to a prince and the couple lived happily ever after.
But life is not a fairy tale.
To try to get married to a rich man, tens of thousands of pretty young Chinese girls attended round after round of auditions organized by a matchmaking agency, but never even got a glance at the super rich.

On Aug. 2, 2013, the Chinese Entrepreneurs Club for Singles was put under investigation on suspicion of false publicity.
So what really happened during the "date with a rich man"?
In the case of the Chinese Entrepreneurs Club for Singles, girls first entered a mass audition in which they were judged on their looks and life skills such as ironing clothes, making tea and cooking. The survivors were admitted into the club and went through to the next rounds.
The girls were told that among them, the 60 most outstanding girls would be selected and given a chance to meet the super rich at an exclusive party in the club.
Finding a wealthy husband has become a lifelong pursuit of the girls and their families.
But where did the wealthy bachelors come from？
