Four people were killed and four others were injured after a
truck collided with a taxi in east China's Zhejiang Province Thursday morning, said local
traffic police.
One of the six injured is in critical condition, according to
the traffic police of Rui'an City.
The accident happened at around 9:20 a.m. on a highway in Rui'an
City, which is about 300 kilometers from the provincial capital of
Hangzhou.
Witness said the truck was trying to avoid pedestrians who
intended to cross the road, but it bumped into a taxi nearby. The
taxi driver, two passengers and a road maintenance worker died on
the spot.
Police are investigating the identities of the victims and the
cause of the accident.
