The number of victims in a collision in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has risen to 15 after an injured died in hospital, police said late Thursday.
The accident took place at around 7 a.m. in Nenjiang County when a bus with 37 passengers and a dump truck collided head-on. Fourteen people were killed on the spot, said sources from the provincial department of public security.
The county government established 6 emergency teams to handle the aftermath. More than a hundred people including policemen, doctors and nurses joined the rescue efforts. All the injured were in hospital.
Senior traffic police officers from the provincial department are investigating the cause of the accident.
