Fundraising events held for quake areas in HK, US

People outside the Chinese mainland continue to express their concern for the survivors of the Sichuan earthquake. A series of charity performances have been held in Hong Kong and the US over the weekend.

This charity performance organized by the Hong Kong entertainment community on Sunday afternoon started at 2:28, the exact time the massive earthquake struck Sichuan on May 12th.

The nearly 8-hour-long show involved more than two hundred singers and actors from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong as well as Taiwan.

Performers expressed their feelings with their music and special guests also shared with the audience what they had witnessed in the quake-hit areas.

Hong Kong Rescue Team Member said "It's as if I'm back in Mianzhu city. Everyone is united to do their best for the quake relief. I hope everyone, no matter what their occupation, will do their part to help re-build quake-ravaged areas."
