Director Robert Rodriguez announced the casting of "Machete Kills" on Thursday on Twitter and posted a link to a poster featuring the singer.

Gaga confirmed on Twitter, writing:"Yes it's true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing Machete Kills by Rodriguez. I am so excited!!! Ah! Filming was insane."
