1月29日的重庆市政协四届一次大会第四次大会上，从重庆走出去的国际著名青年钢琴家李云迪，当选为重庆市政协常务委员。李云迪称，他感到责任之重，会认真履行政治协商、民主监督、参政议政职能。
30-year-old Yundi Li, China's popular piano star, was elected as a standing committee member to the Chongqing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Jan. 29.
