Jennifer Aniston has narrated a children's book about a cuddly lamb.

The "Marley and Me" actress will lend her voice to an audio CD version of "Loukoumi's Good Deeds" alongside her father John Aniston.

A representative for Jennifer said of her latest role: "It is a wonderful story, plain and simple. She did it because she wanted to do it with her dad, as well as she loved the story."

"Loukoumi's Good Deeds", written by Nick Katsoris, is the latest in a series of stories telling the story of Loukoumi the lamb and her friends Gus the Bear, Fistiki the Cat, Dean the Dog and Marika the Monkey.

Among the actors voicing characters for "Loukoumi's Good Deeds" are Oscar-winning actress Olympia Dukakis, Gloria Gaynor and US news presenter Alexis Christoforous - who voices Loukoumi.

A percentage of the sales from "Loukoumi's Good Deeds", which is released in the US on April 1, will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The news Jennifer, 40, has recorded the story comes in the same week it has been reported she split from lover John Mayer because she is too broody.

A source said: "She was truly ready to move on. John wasn't ready to father her child so she ended it."
