The wax figure of Li Yuchun, winner of the televised "Super Voice Girl" singing contest in 2005, was unveiled Thursday in Madame Tussauds Shanghai.
Li, aged 25, is the only mainland singer who rose through singing contests so far to have a replica in the museum.
The museum has wax figures of many celebrities, including Chinese film director Zhang Yimou and American film star Angelina Jolie.

Hunan TV's "Super Voice Girl" (which is like the "American IdolTV show), drew 400 million viewers for the finale of its four-month run in 2005 and helped contestants, including the winner, Li Yuchun, gain nationwide celebrity.
But "Super Girl" also drew official and public criticism for promoting "vulgarity".
