The Producer Price Index (PPI) for China's industrial products rose four percent year-on-year in October, down 0.5 percentage points from September, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
Thursday's NBS report also said that the purchase price for raw materials, fuel, and power jumped 6.5 percent year-on-year, down 0.6 percentage points from September.
The PPI for means of production was up 5.6 percent year-on-year, while that of livelihood went down 0.5 percent compared with the same period last year.
The PPI for foodstuff, clothes and daily necessities grew 0.3 percent, 1.2 percent and 1.5 percent, respectively, while the PPI for durables declined 3.2 percent.
In breakdown, the PPI for crude oil climbed 33.3 percent over the same period last year, leading to an increase of 1.1 percentage points in PPI, with gasoline, kerosene and diesel rising 25.1 percent, 20.5 percent and 21.3 percent, respectively.
The PPI for China's industrial products in the January-October period rose 5.3 percent. The purchasing price of raw materials, fuel, and power increased 8.9 percent in the same period.
