Vehicles, automotive parts and accessories from nearly 370 auto plants across the world will be displayed at the exhibition.
Seven concept cars will be shown for the first time.
The world's leading auto makers, including Rolls Royce, Audi, Volkswagen and Mitsubishi, will exhibit their new cars.
Foreign giants such as GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda and Citroen will also join the event, bringing in a number of new cars and some concept cars.
Enlarged show floors for limousines made by Rolls Royce, Bentley, Ferrari and Porsche will add glamor to this year's exhibition.
Compared with the last show, more automotive parts and accessories suppliers from home and abroad will be involved, including Bosch, Toyota Tsusho, Denso Japan and TCL.
A forum on the sustainable development of China's auto industry will be held during the exhibition.
Jointly sponsored by Guangzhou Municipal Government, Guangdong Economic and Trade Commission, China Foreign Trade Center, China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the annual exhibition has become one of China's most influential automobile exhibitions.
