Chinese director Feng Xiaogang's New Year's Movie A World Without Thieves will premier in Beijing at the end of December, as part of a charity auction.
At a press conference in Beijing's Kun Lun Hotel, director Feng Xiaogang revealed some of the items used in the film that will be auctioned on the Internet.
The money raised will help disadvantaged students.
The martial-arts epic has an all-star cast, including Andy Lau, Rene Liu and Ge You. Costing 40 million yuan, or US$4.8 million, it's based on a novel of the same name, telling the story of the King of Thieves and suggesting that no one really wants to be bad, but circumstances sometimes force people to do bad things.
