The fourth Bing Xin Literature Award has been held, with Beijing author Xu Gang taking the award for his reportage National Crisis, which describes how Chinese people defeated SARS in 2003.
The Bing Xin Literature Award was originally established to commend distinguished Chinese female writer Bing Xin in her hometown of Fuzhou, in southeast China's Fujian Province, China Radio International reported Monday.
The award aims to encourage the creation of Chinese literature all over the world. National Crisis was this year's sole winner of the award.
