The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong announced here Thursday that the "Year of France in China" will end in Hong Kong on Sept. 26.
According to the Consulate General of France, a closing ceremony for "Year of France in China", a year-long cross-cultural campaign, will be held on Sept. 26 at the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong.
Besides, a photo exhibition entitled "The Eiffel Tower by Lubliner", a gala dinner, an advertising campaign and other events will be carried out to celebrate the successful completion of the cultural campaign.
Highlight activity would be "The Eiffel Tower by Lubliner" exhibition in which 50 spectacular photos of the Eiffel Tower in large format by French contemporary artist Jean Paul Lubliner will be put on display at the Avenue of Stars from Sept. 26 to 29.
In October last year, French President Jacques Chirac officiated at the opening ceremony of the Presentation of Pablo Picasso's stage curtain "Parade" in Hong Kong, which also marks the launch of the "Year of France in China" in the city.
Among the numerous activities held in Hong Kong during the "Year of France in China", the presentation of "Parade" and the "Treasures of Impressionism" exhibition are the most popular activities, which attracted more over 2 million visitors altogether.
