New Year Concert by Israel Philharmonic Orchestra

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra with its world-famous conductor Zubin Mehta will hold three concerts in Beijing, on December 31 and January 1.

New Year's Day will see concerts featuring the works of the Strauss family, and some opera music.

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1936, and is among the most famous orchestras in the world. This is second time they will perform in China.

Zubin Mehta has been their conductor since 1969.
