Car Leasing Market on Rise for National Holidays

The large number of driving license holders who do not own cars pushed the car leasing market on the rise for the coming National Day holidays.

Information from most of the car leasing companies in Beijing showed that 70 percent of the cars have been registered for leasing, with daily fees ranging from 160 to 230 yuan.

Compared with previous years, car-leasing companies set stricter requirement for the leasing. Some company raised its daily leasing fee by 20 yuan while others required an earlier booking date and more deposit.

People working at car leasing companies predicted that most of the cars would be, according to previous experiences, leased out before September 20. Because of the rising oil prices, drivers welcomed economic cars most.

Also, there is a growing number of people who intend to travel outside and lease a car locally. However, because of the difficulty involved in finding the warrantor, it is still not a easy job for these people to least a car.
