Chinese actress Huang Yi, who plays Michelle Yeoh's character in
the small-screen version of Crouching Tiger, Hidden
Dragon, is making headway into the big screen by tying up with
a major film distribution company.

Huang Yi on Sunday signed a contract with Polybona, the Chinese
distributor behind such films as Peacock and The
Myth.
Huang became the first entertainer to sign with Polybona's
subsidiary agent company, which will tailor roles for her in
several future projects, Polybona's chief executive Yu Dong was
quoted as saying by the Beijing Times.
The actress said she was not going to give up television acting,
but would shift her focus to the big screen.
So far, the 28-year-old actress has appeared in a number of
films, among them the Brothers, in which she collaborated
with veteran actors Andy Lau, Miu Kiu Wai, Felix Wong and Kent
Tong.
