Death toll in the Philippines due to flash floods and storm surge brought by shallow low pressure area climbed to 13, a senior government official said on Tuesday.
National Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Council executive director Benito Ramos said that of those who killed, two came from southern province of Sarangani, one each from General Santos City and Davao City, and nine from western province of Palawan.
He said that 17 people were still missing, most of them came from Sarangani.
Over 6,300 families or about 31,000 individuals from 46 villages in four regions were affected by the bad weather, Ramos added.
