The region stricken by Changma earthquake included the entire Changma Basin and the western part of the Hexi Corridor in Gansu province. The greatest damage occurred in Changma.

Province: Gansu

Magnitude: 7.6 M

Epicenter: 39.7°N  96.7°E

Casualties: 70,000 dead
