A wild monkey who got scared when the July 22 solar eclipse occurred has since refused to leave a farmer's house in Chongqing municipality's Wansheng district.

Zhang Xiaogang, who runs a restaurant in the suburban mountains, found the monkey shivering with fear on a tree near his eatery as the moon eclipsed the sun at 8.30 in the morning. Zhang took the monkey to his home.

Zhang has tried freeing the wild monkey but it keeps on returning to his house.
