Guangdong official investigated over serious discipline violation

The chief of the labor and social security bureau of Guangdong Province is being investigated for serious violation of disciplines, according to the local discipline inspection authority.

Sources with the provincial discipline inspection commission gave no further details.

Liu Youjun, 46, was suspended from the posts of director and Party chief of the Guangdong Provincial Labour and Social Security Administration.

Liu, a native of Jiangsu Province in east China, had served at several major posts in the provincial government of Guangdong since 2003, including vice secretary-general of the government.
