A boy in lower northern Thailand was quarantined after having high fever following a foreign trip, Thai health official said.
According to The Nation online, Deputy Permanent Secretary to Health Ministry Paijit Warajit said the ministry is waiting for lab test result of a boy in Phitsanulok province.
The boy, who just came from an undisclosed foreign country under an exchange program, is now quarantined in Puthachinarat Hospital and the test result will come out Friday, Paijit said.
The latest suspected flu case in Thailand was revealed after a former university lecturer with high fever was proved earlier Thursday to have contracted seasonal flu instead of the A/H1N1 strain.
The kingdom has confirmed two cases of A/H1N1 flu infection on May 12.
