One new A/H1N1 flu case has been confirmed in Colombia, raising the total number of infected cases in the country to 25, the Social Protection Ministry said on Sunday.
The boy, from Yopal, capital city of the central Casanare province, has been tested positive for the A/H1N1 flu virus. He had lived with a person confirmed of the deadly flu, the ministry said in a statement.
The boy has been medicated and recovering well at home, it added.
Some 902 suspected flu cases have been dismissed after being tested in Colombia. All those infected with the disease in the country have been medicated and their symptoms have been under control, the statement said.
The Colombian government confirmed four new A/H1N1 flu cases last Thursday.
