The bodies of six Chinese tourists killed in a Jan. 30 bus crash in the United States are due to arrive Tuesday evening at Shanghai's Pudong International Airport, the National Tourism Administration (NTA) said.
The flight, China Eastern Airlines' MU 586, is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 p.m.
An official of the administration went to Shanghai to meet the plane and console the relatives of the victims, the NTA told Xinhua.
A bus carrying 15 Chinese tourists, a driver and a tour guide overturned on US 93 in Arizona near the Hoover Dam on Jan. 30. Six tourists and the guide died. Nine others and the driver were injured.
An initial investigation found that passengers were ejected from the vehicle because there were no seat belts. Distracted driving was cited as the cause of the accident.
