South Korean President Lee Myung- bak and Chinese President Hu Jintao will hold a summit in New York this week on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly, local media reported Monday.
The summit will be held on Wednesday when the South Korean president is also to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported, quoting the presidential office as saying.
The two leaders will share views on diverse issues, including Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, Kim Eun-hye, spokeswoman for the presidential office, said.
The report came amid the president's a seven-day trip to take part in the general assembly of the United Nations in New York and the G-20 economic summit in Pittsburgh.
