President Lee Myung-bak of the Republic of Korea (ROK) expected to meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao during the upcoming G20 Summit in Pittsburgh, said an ROK special envoy in Beijing on Thursday.
Sakong Il, chairman of ROK's G20 Coordinating Committee and economic advisor to Lee Myung-bak, made the remarks during a meeting with Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan.
Wang extended warm welcome to Sakong Il's current working visit to China, and exchanged views with him on global financial situation as well as issues concerning the G20 Pittsburgh Summit, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Sakong Il told Wang that President Lee Myung-bak had very pleasant meeting with President Hu during the G20 London Summit, and expected another fruitful talks with Hu in Pittsburgh next month.
The United States is to host the next G20 Summit on Sept. 24-25 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The G20 includes the Group of Eight richest countries -- the United States, Germany, Japan, France, Italy, Britain, Canada and Russia.
Other members are the European Union, Argentine, Australia, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, ROK and Turkey.
