Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was released on bail after he reported himself to the Supreme Court and Office of the Attorney General on Thursday.
The release came three hours after he flied in earlier in the morning, wrapping up 17 months of self-exile abroad since a military coup ousted his administration.
