The "Bei Ji Qian Jin Yao Fang," also known as "Essential Formulas for Emergencies (Worth) a Thousand Pieces of Gold," is a comprehensive medical masterpiece on clinical practice written by Sun Simiao, a famous doctor nicknamed "China's King of Medicine" in the Tang Dynasty. The book, published in the year of 652, summarizes all the pre-Tang Dynasty studies and records on medical treatment and had a great influence for the medical development in the later ages. 《备急千金要方》是综合性临床医著,由唐代名医“药王”孙思邈著,成书于652年。该书集唐代以前诊治经验之大成,对后世医家影响极大。
Sun's book lists about 5,300 recipes for medicines, 233 categories in total, covering gynecology, pediatrics, facial features section, internal medicine, external medicine, detoxication and first-aid treatment, food therapy and health preserving, sphygmology and acupuncture. 该书共记载了5,300首药方,总计233门,涉及妇科、儿科、五官科、内科、外科、解毒急救、食治养生、脉学、针灸等。
The book has received much attention over the years, and it was also brought to foreign countries and had its influences. 该书素为后世所重视。《千金要方》还流传至国外,产生了一定影响。
