An old woman visiting her doctor recently was found to have in her stomach a pen she swallowed by accident 25 years ago, the Daily Mail reported.

An urgent investigation revealed areas of the 76-year-old woman's large intestine had become inflamed.

When questioned, the patient remembered that 25 years before she had used a felt-tip pen to poke her tonsils while looking at them in a mirror. However, she had then fallen forward off a step and swallowed the pen by accident.

Her husband had dismissed her story after abdominal X-rays came up normal.

吞食钢笔25年后取出

       据英国《每日邮报》报道，一位老妇看病时竟发现自己胃里有支25年前不慎吞下的钢笔。

       紧急检查显示，这名76岁的老妇大肠已被感染。

       医生问询时，她称自己曾在25年前对着镜子，通过签字笔按压，查看扁桃体，突然失足前倾一步，不慎吞下钢笔。

       当时腹部X射线显示一切正常，她的丈夫便没当回事。

       通过全麻手术，这支笔已被取出；令人惊讶的是，医生发现它依然能用。
