A persistent group of thieves went to extreme lengths to get their hands on extra cash: They spent six months digging a 100ft tunnel under a Blockbuster Video store in Fallowfield, Manchester to reach a cash machine, the Daily Mail reported.

The thieves starting digging the tunnel at a railway embankment at the rear of the shop. The tunnel then went under a car park and beneath the foundations of the store.

The passageway was around 4ft tall and fitted with lighting and roof supports.

The thieves drilled through more than 15 inches of concrete to steal cash from the ATM, but after all their toil only got away with around £6,000.

盗贼半年挖30米地道偷ATM

       据英国《每日邮报》报道，英国曼彻斯特市法洛菲尔德的一伙盗贼不辞劳苦，花六个月时间，挖了一条30米长地道抵达一家百事达音像店自动提款机的底部，盗走现金。

       地道起点在商店后面的铁道附近，地道还经过一个停车场，最后才通到商店的地基下面。

       洞内铺有电线和照明，还有支撑顶部的支柱，高度大约1.2米。

       他们打穿了ATM底部厚达38厘米的水泥，但是他们费了这么多心思力气，只偷到了6000英镑。
