A series of twelve pairs of rings with a taste of the Olympics
was launched onto the market Thursday morning.
The rings are mainly designed for lovers, as each pair has been
given a somewhat romantic name, such as "flying," "eternality,"
"win-win," "love knot," and "persistence," and are sold at
Olympic-licensed stores and outlets throughout the country at a
price of 2,080 yuan (approx. US$280) to 3,750 yuan (US$505) per
piece.
According to the designers, abstract lines with the inspirations
of the Olympic venues and sports and Olympic elements such as the
"Chinese seal" are adopted and integrated in the design.
"The Olympic Games is a grand celebration of the century for China,
and marriage means a lifetime promise. The perfect combination of
both will make our love more precious." A well-matched couple said
while trying on the rings.
