The gold Olympic emblem, shaped like a coiled dragon, is shown at the launching ceremony in the Great Hall of the People, March 26, 2008.
The gold Olympic emblem is officially unveiled Wednesday, adding another piece to the licensed products of the 2008 Olympic Games.
The collection edition of Olympic emblem is a replica of the 2005 jade emblem, but half its size. The emblem is made of 500 grams of pure gold.
The emblem, shaped like a coiled dragon, is intended to pay a high tribute to and carry on the long-lasting Chinese culture.
The licensed product will be available on the market from March 30th, with a limited circulation of 5,000 pieces globally, priced at 188,000 yuan each, or about 27,000 US dollars.
