Panda climbing a tree. Playing peacefully in the mountainous regions of western China's Sichuan Province, a adorable Panda melt the heart. Captured at the Wolong Nature Reserve, photographer Steve Bloom a week photographing these endangered species.Set up in 1963 the Wolong Nature Reserve is home to 6000 species of plants and animals and is one of the last protected homes of the giant panda. To help pandas survive, the Chinese government and other concerned groups built a special breeding centre called the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda. With over 50 captive giant pandas, each year new babies are born to female pandas. Considered to be the most successful facility in the word for breeding giant pandas, most giant pandas in zoos around the world come from Wolong. [CFP]
