This is Zhongshan East Road near Xin Jiekou in Nanjing during the Republican period. The road looks bare with only a few small trees on either side. Dr. Sun Yat-sen's body passed along this section of road on its way to be interred in the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. [Photo/China.org.cn]
