Chinese men's team wins fifth Asian Games badminton titleChina lifted the badminton men's team title for the fifth time at the Asian Games on Monday, beating South Korea 3-1. Lin Dan dropped the only game by far at these Asian Games here when he squeezed past Park Sunghwan 19-21, 21-16, 21-18 to give the hosts a 1-0 lead in the first singles. While Lin was leading at 6-2 in the decisive game, Park's return was called outside by the service judge before the umpire changed the judgement. "I was actually affected by that call. I think it was really unbelievable," said Lin, who obviously was affected by the judgement and lost the next point. But the Olympic and three time world champion soon pulled himself together to seal the 71 minutes match. "I met great challenge tonight, coming back from behind and adjusting myself. When I was ahead, I was kind of too anxious to nail the points which led me to mistakes," he said. An organizing committee official, declined to be named, confirmed that the umpire made a mistake after reviewing the match video. The South Koreans would not give up so easily as their star doubles Chung Jaesun and Lee Yongdae won a bitter fight with Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng 21-17, 20-22, 24-22. The match went point for point amid thunderous cheers and applause from the spectators in Tianhe Stadium before Cai Yun's return hit into the net. "We've met so many times before and every time the match will be dragged into the third game. We are really close rivals," said Fu. Newly crowned world champion Chen Jin put China ahead again after easing past yongster Son Wanho 21-9, 21-15 and Xu Chen/Guo Zhendong secured the win, beating Yoo Yeonseong/Ko Sunghyun 23-21, 21-17.
