The first goal was scored by Japanese hockey player Yoko Kondo in 19th minute into the first period. Five minutes later another Japanese player Kanae Aoki scored next goal to Kazakhstan's gate.

But Kazakhstan players fought back by scoring two goals on 52th and 55th minutes into the third period. By the end of third period score was still 2-2, thus it had to be decided in overtime. No one from two teams could score a goal in these five minutes.

The teams had a last chance at GWS (game winning goal). The Kazakhstani hockey player Zarina Tukhtiyeva scored the goal from second attemp thus led the team to victory.

This is the third victory of Kazakhstan national women's hockey team at 7th Asian Winter Game. They have already beaten South Korea and DPR Korea on January on 28 and 29 respectively.
